With sadden hearts and sincere condolences, we the management and staff of Community Mortuary, LLC. - Tifton takes this time to announce the passing of Alex Troy Knighton, 43 of Tifton, Ga on July 31, 2023 at Tift Regional Medical Center. Mr. Alex Troy Knighton was born in Tifton, Georgia on March 19, 1980 to Sylvia Knighton and James Forrester. He was educated in the Tift County School System, graduating in the class of 1998. Mr. Knighton loved his family and enjoyed spending time with them. In his spare time, he enjoyed reading, writing music, fishing, and making jokes! He never met a stranger.

He leaves to cherish his memories his mother, Sylvia Knighton of Tifton, Georgia; father, Apostle James Forrester (Mary Ann) of Cuthbert, Georgia; children, Kesean Smith, Kamory Smith, Kalysia Smith, and Kayden Smith, all of Tifton, Georgia; siblings, Tashamba Knighton of Tifton, Georgia; Kijana Jones of Miami, Florida; Willie Granger, Lakiesha Granger, Sabrina Jackson, Curlene Curry, Felicia Peterson, Shanika Lingo, James Forrester, Jr., Yolanda Forrester, Jolonda Forrester, and Benjamin Forrester all of Cuthbert, Georgia; aunts, Ivory Dicks of Tifton, Georgia; Renathia Knighton of Miami, Florida; Pearline Bell and Patricia Pierce both of Albany, Georgia; an uncle, John Forrester of Albany, Georgia; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
