Brenda Henley

With our most heartfelt condolences, we the management and staff of Community Mortuary announce the transition of Ms. Brenda Henley, 66 of Tifton, Ga on Monday, April 17, 2023 at Tift Regional Medical Center. Brenda Henley was born on July 6, 1956, in Tifton, Georgia to the late Willie J. Henley and Charlie Mae Henley. On Monday, April 17, 2023, Ms. Henley departed this life at Tift Regional Medical Center in Tifton, Georgia. She was a member of Holy Temple Church of the Trinity in Tifton, Georgia. Ms. Henley was a faithful member of her church. She was always a hard worker and dedicated to the job and people she worked with. You would see her smiling face at Shoney’s, Golden Living, and most recently, Grace Manor until she was no longer able to work. She enjoyed going to church, spending time with her grandchildren, and dancing.

In addition to being preceded in death by her parents, Ms. Henley was also preceded in death by her grandson, Jase Henley; her siblings, Alvin King, Willie J. Henley, Jr., Janie M. Sutton, and Terrie Henley; and her God son, Andrae Thomas.   

She leaves to cherish her memories her son, Marcus (LaKhiry) Henley of Tifton, Georgia; her daughters, Tasha (Cornelius) Anderson, of Tifton, Georgia; Kawonia Henley of Moultrie, Georgia; her grandchildren, Branesha Henley of Tifton, Georgia; Labrittani Cogdell of Valdosta, Georgia; Dayonna Henley and Isayas Henley, both of Tifton, Georgia; Anthony B. Griggs, Jr. of Gainesville, Florida; MJ Henley and Amir Henley, both of Tifton, Georgia;  her great-grandchildren, Arnija Henley of Tifton, Georgia; Brandon Gray of Valdosta, Georgia; Bailee Henley of Tifton, Georgia; and Braelyn Gray of Valdosta, Georgia; her brothers, Jerome (Linda) Henley and Marvin Henley, both of Valdosta, Georgia; Tony Stephenson of Tifton, Georgia; and Joel (Latasha) Henley of Atlanta, Georgia; her sisters, Ruth (Thomas) Graham of Miami, Florida; Gwendolyn (Tommy) Wilcoxson of Atlanta, Georgia; Linda H. Brown, Novella Henley Brown, and Louise (Robert) Hill all of Tifton, Georgia; an uncle, Lonnie Henley; a sister-in-law, Mary King; her God daughters, Stephanie Billington and Tyesha Johnson both of Tifton, Georgia; her special friends, Tony Morris, Coretta Stanley, Lorene Nichols, Benita Jones, and the Holy Temple Church of the Trinity members; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
