At this time, we the management and staff of Community Mortuary, LLC. - Tifton extends our most heartfelt condolences as we announce the transition of Dorothy Dixon, 70 of Tifton, Ga on September 30, 2023 at her residence. Ms. Dorothy Mae Dixon was born in Chula, Georgia on October 13, 1952, to Ananias (Pete) and Mae Julia Dixon. She was raised in Chula, Georgia, and was educated in the Tift County School System. Ms. Dixon loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She was a member of St. John Baptist Church in Sunsweet, Georgia.
In addition to being preceded in death by her parents, she was also preceded in death by a brother, James Arthur Smith, and a brother-in-law, Will Smith.
She leaves to cherish her memories her children, Charles Dixon, Michael Dixon (Latrise), Belinda Coley (Kendrick), and Denise Swain (Mark) all of Tifton, Georgia; grandchildren, Vontesha Dixon, Angela Downs, Shantrell Howard (Zachary), Keyumba Dixon (Michael Lee), Jaquan Dixon (Janay Dupree), Keilaysha Dixon (Kevionte Hicks), Aijanee Daniels (Darrien Tolbert), Ykela Pitts, Kirsten Lampkin, Lashonda Lampkin, Jermaine Dixon, Aqcurea Branner, Tatyannah Sears, Kevon Pitts, Iyannah Sears, Lakesha Dixon, Michael Dixon, Jr., Michael Dixon, I, and Angel Dixon all of Tifton, Georgia, Jacobie Dixon of Griffin, Georgia, Lateshia Dixon of Ashburn, Georgia, and Katrina Mathis of Clearwater, Florida; forty-two great-grandchildren; siblings, Willie Mae Smith, Teresa Dixon Coleman, and Sammie Dixon all of Tifton, Georgia; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
