Mamie Billington

The management and staff extends our deepest sympathy as we announce the passing of Ms. Mamie Billington, 83 of Tifton, Ga on Friday, January 20, 2023 at Tift Regional Medical Center. Ms. Billington was born on December 19, 1939  to the late Will and Ada Plummer Nichols. She was a member of Holy Temple Church of the Trinity in Tifton, Ga. Ms. Billington enjoyed participating in the activities with the seniors at the Leroy Rogers Senior Center. In addition to her parents, Ms. Billington was also preceded in death by her husband, Johnny Billington; two sisters, Mary Elizabeth Nichols and Lydia Mae Nichols; and two nieces, Debra Nichols and Verna Daniel. She leaves to cherish her memories her son, Joseph Black of Atlanta, Georgia; daughter,
Linda Woods (Donnie) of Tifton, Georgia; siblings, Will Nichols Jr. of Tifton, Georgia and Josephine Merritt of Chicago, Illinois; grandchildren, Stephanie Davis (Freddie Jones, Sr.), Aja Nichols (Travaki Sears), Jessica Carithers (Jeremy Johnson), Tevin Loyd, and Courtney Woods all of Tifton, Georgia; great-grandchildren, Fa’Jyzyen Jones, La’Geria Jones, Freddie Jones Jr.,
Kaidynce Jones, Loyaltee Jones, Malik Henderson, Mesiyah Ivey, and Zariyah Carithers all of Tifton, Georgia; niece, Brenda Frazier (Moses) of Tifton, Georgia; and a of host nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
