With deepest sympathy, the management and staff announces the passing of Ms. Mary Helen Water, 69 of Chula, Ga on March 20, 2023 at Tift Rehabilitation Center of South Georgia. Ms. Mary Helen Waters was born on April 8, 1953, to the late Clifford Waters, Sr. and Fannie Mae Waters. She was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, cousin, and friend. She loved spending time with family, shopping, and completing word search puzzles. She was a “fashionista” in her own right. Ms. Waters was retired, and she was a member of St. John Missionary Baptist Church in Sunsweet, Georgia, where she served as an usher for over 20 years.
In addition to being preceded in death by her parents, she was also preceded in death by her son, Fredrick Carithers; and siblings, Eddie Lee Waters, Sr., Willie James Waters, Annie Mae Cole, Robert Lee Waters, Willie Frank Waters, Clifford Waters, Jr., Missouri Ramsey, and Sarah Waters.
She leaves to cherish her memories; her children, Zandra Shearn of Duluth, Georgia, and Br-Tai “Squeaky” Irvin (Shawn) of Peachtree Corners, Georgia; grandchildren, Alexander Waters of Buckhead, Georgia, and Joseph Shearn, Jr. of Duluth, Georgia; brothers, James Waters, Sr. (Magdalene), John Waters (Alice), both of Sunsweet, Georgia, and Andrew Waters, Sr. (Pearlie) of Chula, Georgia; sisters, Maggie Jackson of Vista, CA and Blonise Waters of Tifton, Georgia; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
