Mildred (Range) Moore

With our deepest sympathy, the management and staff announces the transition of Mildred Moore, 84 on February 16, 2023 at Tift Regional Medical Center. Ms. Mildred was born on June 2, 1938, in Tifton, Georgia to the late George and Millie Range.  On Thursday, February 16, 2023, Mildred answered the call from her heavenly Father. She retired from the Food Service Department at Tift Regional Medical Center.  She enjoyed playing bingo, cards, and the lottery, while also being an active member of the Girls’ Day Out Club.  Mildred loved her family and loved to have fun with them, and she enjoyed cooking. She was a member of Friendship Missionary Baptist Church in Tifton, Georgia. 

Moore was preceded in death by her parents; her siblings, Maggie Lee Sutton, Alonzo “Bud” Range, Georgia Mae Sanders, Annie Lee Range-McCray, and L.C. Range; her daughter, Wilma Jean Crockett; and her granddaughter, Shakonica Cattina Crockett.

She leaves to cherish her memories: her son, Leonard Range of Tifton, Georgia; her brother, Jimmy Range of Tifton, Georgia; her sister, Marie Johnson of Tifton, Georgia;  three grandchildren, Vermicki (Alexandra) Watts, Sr. of Evansville, Indiana; Shardae Range and Javorris Range of Tifton, Georgia; eleven great-grandchildren, Kayvion Range, Legend Range, Ka’Mirror Marshall, Ka’Rena Marshall, and Zakorri Alexander of Tifton, Georgia; Armonie Wallace of Atlanta, Georgia; Aiyan Major and Iya Watts of Valdosta, Georgia; Markevious Watts, Lilliann Watts, Vermicki Watts, Jr. of Evansville, Indiana; an adopted son, Donald Simmons of Atlanta, Georgia; special friends, Atherine Williams, Maggie Jackson, Charlene Beauford, Shawn Lockett, and Minnie Mae Collins; and a host of nephews, nieces, cousins, and friends.
