Wayne Barrett

The management and staff of Community Mortuary, LLC. - Tifton takes this time to extend our most heartfelt condolences as we announce the passing of Wayne Barrett, 60 of Tifton, Ga on July 15, 2023 at Pruitt Health. Mr. Wayne “Wendell” Barrett was born in Tift County on October 28, 1962, to the late Woodrow Barrett and Georgia Mae Barrett. He was educated in the Tift County School System, and he was a member of The Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses. Mr. Barrett retired as a chef. He loved his family and enjoyed spending time with them. In his spare time, he enjoyed playing horse shoe, spades, dominos, and pool. He also enjoyed dancing too! 

He leaves to cherish his memories his wife, Sandra Sheppard of Tifton, Georgia; daughters, Whitney Barrett of Atlanta, Georgia, Allegra Hill, Santana Davis, and LaShanda Melton, all of Tifton, Georgia; grandchildren, Karter Howsia of Atlanta, Georgia; Atao “Taza” Davis, Atari Damyta Hill, Jeremiah Pitts, Kaiden Hill, and Zoe Cupree Woods all of Tifton, Georgia; siblings, Winfred Barrett and Corene Barrett, both of Tifton, Georgia; a special niece and nephew, Dominique and Devin Barrett, both of Tifton, Georgia; a special friend, Shekia McGee of Valdosta, Georgia; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
